This is a sad post from the Law Firm of Joseph P. McClelland about recent Monticello, Georgia accident news.
Margaret Stevens died of a car accident on May 20th, 2010 according to local reports. She was in her 2006 Chevrolet Equinox driving south on Jackson Lake Road. It is reported that she went into the lane of on coming traffic where Phyllis Lawrence of Monticello was coming.
It is reported that Stevens lost control of her vehicle and hit a tree. She later died as a result of the accident.
Both drivers were from Monticello, Georgia.
According to the facts of the case, the other driver may not have been at-fault in the accident. In this circumstance, the other driver would not be liable for any subsequent injuries or the future death of the Stevens. In fact, if may be that the her insurance company would be liable for the lost side mirror, although only a true jerk would file such a claim.
