Recent News: One Way Accident Causes Death in Dekalb County Involving Doraville Police Officer.
Person killed in one way crash turns out to be a police officer off of Wesley Chapel Road. The accident involved a Doraville police officer in the west bound lanes in Dekalb County. Dekalb County says the individual died at the scene of the accident. The names have not been released. No word on whether or not alcohol was involved in the wreck, as it is early in the investigation. Hopefully, this was not an issue and just an issue of …not really sure. Our prayers go out the to victim and victim’s family at this time.
Head on accidents are some of the most dangerous types of collisions. The good news is that head-on collisions are generally quite rare. It is more common to be hit from the side or from the rear and to be hit head on. However, when these accidents do occur the injuries are sustained can be quite severe it comes down to the physics behind the collision of the two automobiles. If you think about a pool ball hitting a pool ball that is not motion versus two balls hitting each other straight on the impact is quite different.
If you’ve been involved in a head-on accident. Someone was clearly negligent there is no way that you can have a head-on accident and there not be some sort of mistake that has occurred either someone is attempting to pass in the zone not meant for passing or they’re going down a one-way street. Often times, and the news will hear about someone entering an exit ramp onto the interstate and going the wrong way down interstate. The reason why this is so dangerous is because the impact will most likely be a head-on impact. Plus the fact that all the cars will start swerving and the other cars at risk for collisions as the lamb personal-injury lawyer my read stories like this in the news it gets my attention.
Next were going to discuss a recent example of a head-on collision and the types of injuries that occurred from that accident. Recently, five people were injured in a Griffin, Georgia car accident in Spalding County, Georgia. The driver of one of the cars swerved into the other lane of traffic, crossing the yellow line, as another car with several passengers came the opposite direction. The accident happened on a bridge, but all cars stayed on road. One of the passengers suffered injuries including a concussion, back injuries, neck injuries, and tail bone injures. Another passenger received whiplash. Another passenger, a young boy, received upper back soreness and tenderness. Another passenger suffered a concussion, and severe neck injuries that will require surgery. All parties went to the hospital for treatment immediately after the car accident.
