It is a sad day in Georgia.  Two children died in a car accident today on the way to school in Rockdale County, Georgia.  The driver of the car was a high school senior and his little sister.  The young boy was 18 years old.  His name was Karl Michael Anschutz.   She was only 14 years old.  Her name was Laura Anschutz.  The young boy was on the way to Heritage High School, and she was on the way to Davis Middle School.

It is believed that while on the way to school their car must have crossed the yellow line.  As the car crossed the yellow line, a truck was coming from the opposite direction.  It is believed the young boy swerved back into lane, went off the road, and then over-corrected.  This made is car go back into the lane of oncoming traffic.  The driver of the truck, was a male, and was injured.  He was taken to the hospital and later released.  It is unknown the extent of his injuries.

I wish the family of these children my condolences.  The family must be going through a lot.  If you know this family send them your love and prayers.
