What are the biggest credit reporting errors that exist is when there is an account does not belong to me on my credit report. Regardless of the state and regardless of the year there are numerous complaints about this type of problem.


Between the time of November 20th, 2017 and November 20th.2020 the state of Georgia had 34, 432 number of credit reporting complaints to the CFPB. 13,878  consumer in the state of Georgia reached out to the CFPB to complain about information belonging to someone else on their credit report. 


2,608 consumers in Georgia had issues with an account information being incorrect. Now obviously this can be categorized in addition to some of these other categories. 2,216 people in Georgia had an account status they considered to be incorrect.


1,021 people and the personal information was correct Bahrain track that means of these people probably saw an incorrect address or an incorrect name that was so bad that they felt like they needed to reach out to the CFPB.

Public record information inaccurate 820 people in Georgia file complaints about some type of information to send the public records being inaccurate. Most likely this relates to lawsuits, judgments, and bankruptcy filings.

What about information that either never goes away or reappears? Well that happened 553 times in the state of Georgia. 8,867 people in Georgia had a problem with a credit reporting agency not doing a proper investigation and see what they considered to be something incorrect on the credit report.

Of those people 5,224 says that their investigation did not fix the error. 1,785 said they were not notified of the results of the investigation. 1,245 people in Georgia complained that the investigation took too long or took over 30 days to complete. 

Fair Credit Reporting Act is a federal law that is designed to protect consumers against inaccurate credit reporting. The law provides consumers Philip II have a free attorney and to have their damages paid directly by the credit reporting agencies.
