Keith Olbermann Sues Al Gore’s Current TV: Gore Has a Network?

Oh, Mr. Keith Olbermann.  What will we do with you?  There are not that many places for you to go to.  That massive cranium of yours needs video cameras.  Radio is where the left goes to die.  You know that.  You had it all on MSNBC, and you know it.  Had it all.  Good lead ins and good advertisers.  You set the tone and were the big dog.  Now, you were the step child to NBC, but that is different.  There is no going there for you now.  I like you.  Your rants are fun.  Really fun for a news day is full of boring tales full of lies.  You had a purpose and a role.

I was upset you left.  Then, you went to Current.  That sounded cool because Al Gore was there, but the network didn’t exist.  Maybe they were going to throw money behind it and make it work.  Perhaps, *****sports reference just for you Keith******Current turned into the Atlanta Hawks.  They spent too much money for one star player when a team/network needs more.  Yes, production values were not the same.  I would guess the Hawks have corners cut on them, as well.

Keith Olbermann - Caricature
So, Keith was fired around the one year mark.  He wants what he is entitled to, as he should.  He is bringing a claim for breach of contract.

According to the complaint, which I have listed below, Keith Olbermann is seeking 70 million for his contract claim.

Network co-founders Al Gore and Joel Hyatt released a statement  that included the words “respect, openness, collegiality, and loyalty.”  We all knew what would follow.

When you hire a guy with a past of having issues with management and bring him into an organization that only exists because of the “manager” Al Gore, a train wreck is in the works.

Keith Olbermann Lawsuit

Current TV Launches Assault In Press:  Gore Has a TV Network?

Current terminated Keith Olbermann last Thursday for serial, material breaches of his contract, including the failure to show up at work, sabotaging the network and attacking Current and its executives.

As the old adage says: “When the law is on your side, you argue the law. When the facts are on your side, you argue the facts. When neither the law nor the facts are on your side, you pound the table.”

We will be happy to engage on the law and the facts in the appropriate forum.

It is well established that over his professional career Mr. Olbermann has specialized in pounding the table.

However, Mr. Olbermann, by filing his false and malicious lawsuit, has now put this matter into a legal process where there will be an objective review of the facts.

We hope Mr. Olbermann understands that when it comes to the legal process, he is actually required to show up.

Update:  Hey, Bill Press, you got mentioned in the news.  It has been a while since the Crossfire host got fingered.  Keith claims that Bill Press was not an authorized guest host, but saw some airtime on a particular day when Keith was away.  Not worthy of the ink on the complaint, in my opinion.  How does Bill Press cause you demonstrable injury that you can put a number on?  Just asking.  If you know, drop the answer in the comment, I am interested.
